Mahogany The Love Drought Series edition by Nako Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

  • I enjoyed this book very much. Porter and Mahogany both had issues to resolve. Porter dealing with his family's death and Mahogany dealing with raising both Raheem and Genesis. She was involved previously in a bad situation and w as betrayed by her lover and best friend. Mahogany had trust issues but she knew that she wanted to change her life and be a success. I liked Juice who was dedicated, loyal, a friend, little brother and manager. It was nice reconnecting with some of the old character s from other books written by this author. If you work hard, you can change your ways and become someone different. I enjoyed the fact P, Mahogany, Raheem and Genesis went to church. I had a problem with Jillian, she was
overprotective of P and jealous of Mahogany. She was married, had a child and did not think Mahogany was good enough. It came out that shew slept with the boss once, got pregnant and aborted his child without him knowing. Stay in your lane, Jill. This was a very, very good book and I can't wait to reload Carmen's story in book 2. Will Bruce . Ever get himself together. What's up with Casey
  • As always Nako you didn't disappoint me! Mahogany and Porter are definitely in the top favorites of my couples! Your writing is proof that you're growing and blooming! I can't wait until book two!
  • The evolution of Porter🙌🏾🙌🏾 Especially the spiritual experiences! I can not wait to read the remaining books in this series.
  • Nako has done it again. There are no words!
  • I enjoyed the development of Porter more than all the characters. He truly had a sad story and he made it through. I loved the way Mahogny loved Kareem and it was unfortunate she couldn’t keep him. Nako is a good writer but every book or series she kills off children it’s starting to become resundant. Also I thought Mahogany was selfish when it came to Porter she barely cared or inquired about what he was going through. She showed very little empathy towards him.
  • The 1st page pulls you in. Grips your heart & doesn't let go. If you dont read anything else today please get a copy of this well written detailed book written by the fabulous Nako. I swear you will not be disappointed.

If you're tired of reading about kaShawn & nem or 3 brothers & 3 sisters that's young as hell read this. This young lady needs to be in the credits as the story ends.
  • Nako is spreading her wings with this new series. No "thug" love..(which I had no problems with) but still creating the mindset of "women CAN win". Mahogany had- and probably will (until something life changing happens) continue to allow her past to hinder her future....she made me so mad! lol Loved the word play on names "Kim" "Porter"....and how ironic is it that just maybe, this was a piece of what she and Diddy encountered... Anyway, overall AMAZING read and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
  • It took me a little bit to get in this story, but afterwards it was a hit for me... MS. Nako did it again!
Porter and Mahogany, ouf!!! What a couple. I mean, they were so different, so opposite and so spaces a part, I didn't think they would have come together...
Porter was a true boss man. His boss man was different than what MS. Nako has so far present us with, but he changed his life a round, and he became the legit Boss man with all of the connections. An alpha male to the core but also a very childish, insecure man and all throughout the story, I couldn't wait to see when he was going to grow up. He finally did,but not without putting me in a funk attitude towards him.
Mahogany herself, from the beginning was getting on my last nerve. She was so rude, so ratchet, so hood, so uneducated, yet MS. Nako tried to show us how these impairs couldn't put her down and keep her down. Mahogany knew what she wanted, and did everything to get it, except selling her soul, and this right here was what gave this story a 5 star.
If it was any other author, it would have take me a little bit to get this story, but coming from this author, I knew it was going to be good; and although it started out different, it was good, very good in fact. MS. Nako was able to present us with a different thinking as to not everything is pink and roses and sometimes, the black rose or other colors are actually not too bad to learn and get to know.
This story was truly a wake up call in that not everything is in the same cookie cutter that society like to put us in. This story shows, the problems, triumph and tribulations that ones goes thru the make it happen. You always have to keep your head high and keep grinding with your head held high and keep pushing forward.
As usual, MS. Nako will always gives us the spiritual attributes to wanting GOD in our lives. Thank you because every time I read one of your books. I go back to my talking to GOD more often....
